Andrew Brooks


Andrew Brooks is a Sydney ­based artist, writer, curator and organiser whose work takes the form of installations, performances, text works and sound recordings. He has performed and/or exhibited in Europe, nepan and Australia and his writing has appeared in Das Superpaper  and unMagazine. He was a co-­curator of the NOW now Festival and monthly concert series from 2012­-2014 and is currently a PhD candidate at UNSW Art and Design.

Anna McMahon


Anna McMahon is an artist and curator. She completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Hons) at Sydney College of the Arts (USYD) in 2010, a Master of Art Curatorship at The University of Sydney in 2011 and is currently undertaking a Master of Fine Arts at Sydney College of the Arts (USYD). McMahon also collaborates with fellow artist Kate Beckingham as OK YEAH COOL GREAT. McMahon is a resident artist at Parramatta Artist Studios in 2016 and 2017. She was the 2016 recipient of the Dominik Mersch Gallery Award and is a recipient of the Dr Denise Hickey Memorial Studio at the Cité International des Arts, Paris in 2017 awarded by the Art Gallery of New South Wales.  She is a recipient of the Freedman Foundation Travelling Art Scholarship in 2016 & has received Arts NSW and Australia Council for the Arts Funding.

Spence Messih


Spence Messih is an emerging artist currently based in Sydney. Working across photography, video,  text and installation Messih’s research and practice explores notions of queer time and gender through focusing on the human relationship to natural phenomena. Their work has been widely exhibited in solo and group exhibitions in artist-run and public galleries including at Sydney GuildFirstdraft GalleryLinden Centre for Contemporary ArtsMOP ProjectsHorsham Regional Art GalleryHazelhurst Regional Gallery and Stills Gallery. Messih has undertaken artist residency programs with ‘Wildfjords’, West Fjords, Iceland in 2014; ‘NES’, Skagaströnd, Iceland in 2012; and at ‘The Green House’, Fowlers Gap, Broken Hill in 2011. Messih graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts with Honours (Class 1) from UNSW Art and Design in 2013 and was awarded the Australia Council Artstart Grant in 2014 and is currently a Master of Philosophy candidate at UNSW Art and Design.

Gina Mobayed


Gina is an art consultant at Artbank, working on the leasing program with a large portfolio of clients. She has experience in programming, exhibition development and event/project management for commercial and not­-for­-profit organisations in the arts sector. She has delivered experimental projects and exhibitions both nationally and internationally, working with some of Australia’s most highly regarded artists. Gina holds a Bachelor of Arts in Art History and a Bachelor of Business Studies.

Consuelo Cavaniglia


Consuelo is an interdisciplinary artist whose work focuses on how we see and understand space. Independent curatorial projects have consistently flanked her practice and have centred on interventions in public spaces. Projects include an 18-month program of non-permanent public art in the Perth Cultural Centre, interventions on city streets and gallery projects including PICA, Firstdraft, Fremantle Arts Centre, 55 Sydenham Road. She has held roles as exhibitions coordinator, administrator and project manager in public and commercial galleries nationally, worked as an art consultant, coordinator of the Fremantle Print Award and educator including at the University of Sydney where she currently teaches. Consuelo is an MFA candidate at Sydney College of the Arts.

Alex Kiers


Alex Kiers is an artist and musician from Port Macquarie, NSW who currently lives and works in Sydney. He uses performance, installation, video, sound and painting as tools to think about cultural futures. He has exhibited as both a solo artist and as part of collaborative projects throughout Australia and abroad. Most recently, local shows at the MCA, Bondi Pavillion, 55 Sydenham rd, 107 Projects, Alaska Projects and Sydney Guild as well as shows at Felt Space in Adelaide, The Walls on the Gold Coast and at Dog Park in Christchurch. In 2015, in collaboration with Claire Finneran he was commissioned to make a new work by Firstraft Gallery for Underbelly Arts Festival as well as undertaking a 6 month residency at Waverly Artist Studios. He currently works as a contractor for Galleries such as AGNSW, Hazelhurst Regional Gallery, Darren Knight, Artspace and the Sydney Biennale and was a curator of music at Society in 2011-12.
