Rayleen Forester
Rayleen Forester is a Tarntanya (Adelaide) based, arts worker and writer. Rayleen’s curatorial interests focus on cross-cultural engagement through contemporary and experimental art practices. She has written for national publications including Artlink, UN magazine, Memo and is a founding member of South Australian artist run initiatives FELTspace and fine print magazine.
She has completed curatorial secondments across Asia and Europe for major biennales, galleries and institutions. In 2014 she co-convened the Artists’ Week symposium for the long established Adelaide Festival. Curatorial exhibitions include If the future is to be worth anything: ACE Open SA Artist Survey (2020); Next Wave, Vic (2020); Playground, JamFactory, SA (2016); Shifting Senses, M16 Gallery, ACT, (2016); FX Harsono: Beyond Identity, Nexus Arts, SA (2015). Solo exhibitions include Mother Mountain, POP Gallery, SA (2023) and Bahay Kubo, West Space, Vic (2023).
