Mori
Mori is a space for architecture culture, an architect-run-initiative operating across unceded Gadigal and Wangal land. We are not-for-profit, DIY, rented space on borrowed time, running out of a former convenience store in suburban Sydney. Architecture, with its messy relationship to capital and power, is often instrumental in the maintaining of the inequitable structures that drive the existential and ideological crises we experience today. A highly risky profession, architecture is legally tied to regulation, to standards, to best practice. In Sydney specifically, where property prices are prohibitively expensive and development is king, experimentations with other ways of world-building seems almost impossible.
