Riona Tindal

Dr Riona Tindal is a Queensland-based multidisciplinary artist whose practice draws on her work as a graphic designer, painter, scientific illustrator and amateur herpetologist. Working across drawing, painting and mixed media, she explores themes of communication, memory, identity and the natural world. Through layered processes of accumulation, erasure and reconstruction, her work investigates how meaning emerges through fragments, traces and acts of perception.
