Bonnie Huang is an artist playing and creating with textures and dreams on Dharug land. Often referencing queer culture, digital media, and collective histories, their multidisciplinary practice aims to create subversive spaces for reflection on desire and self-identity. They are driven by a sense of playfulness in their object language and image-making– interrogating how memory and popular culture informs the construction of identity and thus communities of belonging. They are a recipient of Parramatta Artists’ Studios digital residency, PAS Open 2023, and recent exhibitions include Pari, Verge Gallery, and The Waiting Room Project.
