Kailana Sommer

Kailana Sommer is a multidisciplinary artist based in Sydney, Australia. Her practice, both collaboratively and independent, is non-specific: chartering mediums, materials and outcomes as they find purchase on certain ideas. Most recently, she wrote a science fiction piece while on residency in Jogyakarta. She also performed a poem on Jackson Mac Low at 55 Sydenham rd, Sydney. She has contributed words, ideas and works for UN Magazine, Runway magazine, 55 Sydenham Rd, Linden New Art gallery, Museum of Contemporary Art, Sydney Guild, SAFari, Tiny Stadiums and God Ate My Google Drive. She is one half of the collaborative project KK+JLD.
