Nebbi Boii is a First Nations artist from Australia, a descendant of the Wiradjuri people from Snake Rock, Peak Hill and European Finnish. They completed their Bachelor of Fine Art (Hons) at the University of New South Wales and alongside their expanding artistic practice Nebbi works as an art educator. Working with a range of mixed media including photography, performance, textiles and paint Nebbi explores the intersections between queer identity, pop-culture and neoPentecostal/Evangelical fundamentalist doctrine and faith-based practices to theatricise the self; a practice of ‘theatre’to reimagine the divine as a human experience.
