Oliver Hull is a Melbourne based artist working across digital media, video, instillation and drawing. Hull is currently interested in the poetic and political properties of fiction and images and their relationship to time, history and landscape. He graduated in 2012 with First Class Honours from Curtin University, Since graduating he has most notably exhibited at Success, Fremantle WA; The Institute of Jamais vu, London UK; Jan van Eyck Academie, Maastricht, Netherlands; Archive_ ,Sydney, NSW; Platform, Melbourne, VIC; Moana Project Space, Perth, WA; UDSTILLINGSSTEDET Q,Copenhagen; and Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun, Leeds UK.
Since 2015 he has been collaborating with Kieron Broadhurst and Giles Bunch on An Event (www.anevent.com.au) an ongoing project focused on uncovering or inserting fictions into the history of Western Australia. In 2016 he collaborated with Celeste Njoo to design 7.45 books ranging in topics from the constructed language Sol Re Sol to the relationship between mood rings and financial markets.
