Therese Keogh

Therese Keogh is an artist, living and working in Sydney, Australia. She recently completed an MFA at Sydney College of the Arts. Therese creates multi-layered projects that explore material and spatial implications of knowledge production, through interdisciplinary, site-based research practices. Working with a range of materials and processes – in drawing, sculpture, writing, and book-making – her practice engages with geographical mobility, material transformations, and histories of making.

Therese has exhibited her work in solo and group exhibitions around Australia, and internationally, since 2009, including exhibitions at: Firstdraft, Centre for Contemporary Photography, Casula Powerhouse, Horsham Regional Art Gallery, Bus Projects, Our Neon Foe. Therese regularly develops and presents site-based projects in inner-city and rural areas, including: a broad acre canola farm in Ouyen, Victoria, a re-appearing swamp in Central Victoria, and a collection of archaeological excavation sites in Saxony, Germany.
