Brian Obiri-Asare is a creative writer of Ghanaian descent, with a particular focus on engaging with the complexities and contradictions of a multiracial society. This engagement is spurred by a commitment to questioning arts' relationship to structures of power, visibility, and representation. His work has appeared in spaces such as Meanjin, Cordite, Overland, and un Magazine, and he was recently awarded the Northern Territory Literary Award for Poetry. He has extensive experience in governance and management in both the non-for-profit and corporate sectors.
