Sudheera Dissanayake, also known by the moniker sudjuice, is a professional artist from Western Sydney whose work is deeply rooted in his Sri Lankan heritage, Buddhist philosophies, and transcendental experiences. With a passion for abstraction, Dissanayake’s practice often features bold brushstrokes and emotive tableaux, approaching expressionism with a distinctive voice. He has been developing his artistic practice for over a decade, consistently exhibiting his work in solo and group exhibitions across a variety of platforms.
Alongside his art practice, Dissanayake is the founder of Little Umbrella Collective, an inclusive, artist-run collective that brings together artists with and without disabilities. His commitment to nurturing creativity is evident not only in his own work but in his role as a mentor and teacher. Dissanayake is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Art Therapy, blending his artistic skills with a deep commitment to guiding and supporting students from diverse backgrounds.
In addition to his private art teaching practice, Dissanayake works through the NDIS registered provider Studio ARTES, where he teaches art and mentors individuals with disabilities. His ability to connect with emerging and established artists, fostering creativity and growth, has made him a vital force in the art community. Through his leadership of the Little Umbrella Collective, Sudheera continues to champion inclusivity and professional development, ensuring that artists of all abilities have the opportunity to thrive.
