PIANO is a new project in a lineage of work exploring alternate temporal and spatial possibilities for traditional musical instruments. PIANO reconfigures a 1940s upright piano to become a self-regenerating, resonant tone machine. The work continues a line of enquiry first explored in DRUM ROOM (2013). PIANO was commissioned by Campbelltown Arts Centre.
