Program Callout: June 2019 – January 2020

Firstdraft supports the development of emerging and experimental artistic practice through a diverse and inclusive range of programs. For the June 2019 - January 2020 callout, Firstdraft is seeking proposals from artists, curators and writers to be considered for our Exhibition, Curators’, Writers’ and Public Programs. Please make sure you download and read the program guide before submitting your application. We’ve also put together a document providing some advice for submitting a strong proposal.

The Exhibition Program aims to profile an exciting cross-section of emerging artistic practice and experimentation. Exhibition proposals for Firstdraft’s galleries are invited from individuals and groups of artists.

In 2019 Firstdraft is excited to launch its First Nations Curators Program, dedicating one exhibition per year to an emerging Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander practitioner.
