Firstdraft is now seeking proposals from artists, curators and writers for consideration in our 2026–27 Program. We invite ideas that champion experimentation, risk and inclusion.
Firstdraft proudly supports emerging, contemporary art practice and experimentation through a diverse and dynamic program of exhibitions, professional development opportunities, and live events. Participation in our annual program offers financial support, partnerships, mentorship, and access to Firstdraft’s equipment and resources.
Applications can only be submitted online. We recommend preparing your answers for the online form and requested support material information before completing the application form, which should take between 20 and 30 minutes to complete.
If you need support applying, or if you have a disability that requires adjustment to the application process or an alternative application pathway, please contact: program@firstdraft.org.au
Proposals are invited across all programs: Exhibition Program, Curators Program; the Live Program and First Peoples Curators Program proposals are accepted year-round.
