‘Grimace’ proposes a speculative approach to how objects engage in interactions with each other and construct multiple milieus around themselves. Grimace assembles a world that is suggestive of Dungeons and Dragons. As the d&d player, you are constructing, mapping and exploring worlds. Through looking at these art objects, it is a way for the viewer to engage with the concepts of ‘worlding’ and exploring worlds. Like d&d, our universe is ramified by chance. We roll the dice, bringing surprising encounters and relations we can never fully anticipate.’
