Wind Chime Time!

Class S2: Wind Chime Time!

Keesha Catherine Field

The resounding soft dings of wind chimes are believed to be signals alluding to, but not quite embodying, our spirit. I wonder if you can imagine now, the sound of a wind chime… perhaps you find it tickles a part of your brain that rings through to your inner child. The Wind Chime Time! workshop is delivered in partnership with Hope St exclusively for Woolloomooloo Youth Week.

The crafting of a wind chime seeks to honour the inner child at the point of childhood, generating mindfulness at a pivotal time of development. Using found objects and facilitating a safe space for experimentation in a kinesthetic artform, Firstdraft hopes to promote mindfulness not only in mental health but in our responsibility to the planet.
