Flex is response to the absurd, vulnerable and uncanny aspects of living with ‘smart’ technology and the internet today. The perception of the physical and digital is changing each day we swipe. Images move, change and jump contexts online; they are consumed, manipulated and resided within. Networks connect them, data follows them and screens are touched to make them appear.

Pinch, slide, double – tap

Digital ubiquity and uncertainty is the starting point for Flex. Taking influence from the way slapstick humour often violates the sanctity of the body, a series of actions have been performed that attempt to destabilize the idea of a fixed object, image and body.
