Martin John Oldfield born 1977 in the south of Sydney. He holds multiple certificates in Heavy Equipment, Heavy Vehicle, and numerous post-trade courses. After first enrolling in 1995 he returned to the National Art School to complete a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Sculpture) in 2022 and Master of Fine Arts (Sculpture) in 2024.

Martin’s work Stochastic Drawing was a finalist in the Dobell Drawing Prize #23, he won the YawWay sculpture prize in 2020 for his work Dunnage till now. Recent exhibitions include his solo exhibition Purple Sky Trains, 2025 (Drawspace) and Well that was fun… , 2024 (NAS).
