We are thrilled to announce the appointment of Caity Reynolds as Firstdraft's new General Manager.

She joins Firstdraft after a short stint as the Acting Director of Grafton Regional Gallery having overseen the exhibitions program as the Exhibitions and Collections Officer since 2020.
In 2016 she co-founded Outer Space Contemporary Art in Brisbane alongside Llewellyn Millhouse where they worked together as co-directors until the end of 2019. During this period, she also worked as a sessional academic at Griffith University, Queensland College of Art and across the Moreton Bay Regional Council, Museum and Gallery Network. She has a breadth of experience as an artist, curator and facilitator working with artists, producers and community groups from across Australia including the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery through Hobiennale, Conscious Mic, The Laundry Artspace, The Walls, Clutch Collective, Museums and Galleries Queensland, Arts Northern Rivers, NSW Regional Arts Network, Clarence Valley Rainbow Folk, United Colours amongst many other collaborators.
With the support of her install team, she delivered an extensive exhibition program at Grafton Regional Gallery, including the gallery’s most ambitious project to date, InlandSee, a group exhibition of 26 New South Wales-based artists from diverse cultural, linguistic and social backgrounds. Recently she has been working closely with artist and curator Abbra Kotlarczyk and gallery colleagues Sarah Nash, Angela Lagos-Jay, Avron Thompson and Chloe Waters to produce Figuring Ground, a major survey exhibition of LGBTQ+ identifying artists from across the nation.
Caity is passionate about access and inclusion in all forms and looks forward to working with the Firstdraft team to continue eliminating barriers to participating in contemporary art organisations for audiences, artists and arts workers alike whether physical, economic or social. With ties to both regional New South Wales and Queensland, Caity is eager to fortify the work that Firstdraft has been doing to support regional and rural artists.
Please join us in welcoming Caity to our team!
