This artwork is a simple intervention on a discarded 'PREPARE TO STOP' traffic sign sourced from a local metal recycling centre. Often seen when approaching roadworks, the sign has been altered to become a universal cue for viewers warning about the potential hazards and blockages that lay ahead for our world.

The graffiti-esque obscuration of the intended message alludes to our insatiable desire as a society to subjugate and consume - in a manner akin to environmental vandalism. The sign becomes a call to action - beckoning the viewer to prepare for what appears to be a tumultuous road ahead.
