Navigating unfamiliar natural terrain is always a stimulating challenge for Luke Abdallah and Matt Elliott, who collaborated on this painting by adopting each other’s signature painting techniques to create a rich tapestry representing these heightened sensations. The textual elements, native flora and natural detritus were all sourced on site at Bundanon, mixed with paint and dropped onto the textured paper by Matt. Luke incorporated Matt’s signature dye pigments, shaking them onto the textured surface.
